The building commissioned by Antonio Poccianti (as attested by the entablature in white Istrian stone: ANTONIUS DE POCCIANTIBUS SUBLEVAVIT), physician to the King of France Charles VIII, was built in 1513 and is embellished on the left side by a characteristic loggia from which it extends over the Nevola valley to the hills that slope down towards Cesano.
